This band's members are good friends of mine and we went to many places together. The day of the recordings I got ill so I decided to play a smaller role than they had in mind. |

The Unknown
2015
A videoclip by Jonathan Sipkema that we made in one afternoon. The last location was amazing: an old abandoned factory in Raalte. |

Iris Sanne is a great friend of mine. We worked together on several theatral projects and she used me as her model several times. This project, A big bird in a small cage, was about ourselves. We have great minds but we feel caged by ourselves as well. The world felt to harsh on us. We wanted to show our funerability and strength at the same time

My sister is a photographer as well. We spotted this location when we went to the doctor, and decided we really wanted to have a photoshoot there. We were both really afraid to break laws back then, but we did climb over the fence. I had a great struggle with myself back then. I thought I was really ugly and lacked guts. She made me very proud of this photoset.

Again a shoot by Iris Sanne. I barely knew the boy on the pictures, but it was not very hard to be naked on this set. We got our bodies painted white and that felt as if I wore clothes. The subject was the Sword of Damocles, about killing someone with your love. It was very cold, but also very exciting.

Rob Bults / Explosief / De Verhalenboot
|
My promotor Rob Bults, who gave me classes on storytelling, decided he wanted me as the face of his festival. The doll I'm holding is Kokolka, from the old story of Wassilissa. I told this story on the festival. You can see the final result on the flyer in my theatre, storytelling and teaching page.

These pictures remind me of the most beautiful place in Zwolle, near the river De IJssel. Bulldozers destroyed this natural area to create space for the expanding river. The horses were very nosy, but not tamed. They would run over you if you didn't watch out. It was very funny that the herd followed me wherever I went. I came there every few weeks, and I could see the horses from the train to Utrecht. But now... It's just dirt, without bushes, without the horses.
